RIPPA RUGBY

The Tasman Rugby Union will be running the Marlborough Mako Rippa during Term 1 2024. 

This will be held at Lansdowne Park, Blenheim starting on Thursday 7th March.

Please read the info below carefully and register by completing the registration forms at the bottom of the page. 

Registrations close on Friday 16th Feb 2024. Thank you for your registrations. We are currently making teams.

SCHEDULE:

Thursdays (6 weeks);

1. 7th March

2. 14th March

3. 21st March

4. 28th March

5. 4th April

6. 11th April

TIMES: 

Games will be held on Thursday at one of these times;

 3:45pm / 4:15pm / 4:45pm / 5:15pm (times are dependent on the number of teams entered in each grade). 

COST: 

The fee for each player is only $5. This needs to be paid with your permission for your child to play.

UNIFORM AND GEAR:

Students will play in their school top, black shorts and bare feet. All belts and tags supplied

TEAM ENTRY AND GRADES:

The below grades will be dependent on the number of teams entered. Grades are:

• • Y1/2 RIPPA (Parents are required to be on the field to assist/coach players)

  • Y3/4 RIPPA

  • Y5/6 RIPPA

  • Y7/8 RIPPA

Parents will also need to assist in managing the team each week. If you can commit to doing this every week, please indicate on the registration form. Otherwise we will have a roster for parent help. (Year 1-2 teams must have a parent on the field to assist the players). 

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS:

We need you to register in TWO ways to play; our own registration form to make up teams 

AND

ALL players must register online via their school’s Sporty website to play in this competition (New Zealand Rugby Rules). Here is the link to register via  SPORTY  once you have completed our school registration.
