IMPORTANT: By registering for Tennis, you are committing to playing in a team for Term 4 2024 and Term 1 2025. You CANNOT drop out mid-season.
INSPIRE TENNIS PRIMARY SCHOOLS TENNIS COMPETITION 2024/2025
When: Saturday Mornings - Saturday 2nd November to Saturday 14th December 2024
Continues; Saturday 8th February to Saturday 15th March 2025
There will be a grading day for all divisions except Division 1 on Saturday 19th October .
Two Timelsots for games: 8:45am (Division 2 and 4) and 10:15am (Division 1 and 3) Kiwi Division may alternate between both time slots.
Where: Various Courts throughout Marlborough
Who for: Year 3-8
Cost: $55 for the season
Includes a junior membership to a club of your choice
Format: Play in school teams of up to 6 players per team. However only 4 play each week. Managers will set up a rotation within the team to manage this.
Uniform: Redwoodtown School Uniform

DIVISIONS
FULL COURT DIVISIONS
Division One: top players, most of whom will be currently receiving coaching (yellow ball).
Division Two: players who are reasonably good, it is not a division for beginners (yellow ball).
Division Three: players who have played some tennis and are aged 10 and over (those who played in div. 4 last season should probably play in this division). This division will play on a full court but with ITF regulation green (75% compression) balls. Underarm serving is permitted in this division for the 2nd serve.
Division Four: children aged 9 and over who have played little or no tennis. This division will play on a full court but with ITF regulation orange (50% compression) balls. Underarm serves are permitted in this division for both serves.
MODIFIED COURT DIVISION
Kiwi Division, sponsored by Inspire Tennis:. This division will play on half-courts with ITF regulation red (25% compression) balls. Players must serve underarm. The intention is to move to three-quarter courts after Christmas.
Players will play both a singles game and a doubles game each week.
