The school reports to parents regularly on the progress of their child.
Informal parent meetings
Parents are encouraged to arrange a time with the class teacher to discuss their child's progress at school and talk about any behavioural or learning difficulties that are impacting on their child.
Learning conferences
Students have a learning conference after mid year reports have been sent home. These conferences are held at the beginning of term 3 for all students and provide an opportunity for parents, the student, and the teacher to discuss the student's progress and next learning steps.
Achievement progress
We use our Hero app to show student learning and progress midyear and end of year. Teachers support students to share their learning using Hero in different curriculum areas. Our progress reporting graphs display student progress in real-time and include their current learning goals in Reading, Writing, and Maths.
Celebrations of learning
This is an opportunity for students to share their learning with parents through oral, written, and visual presentations. These occur at the end of inquiry units of learning and can take many different forms, including assemblies for drama, dance, and music, whole-school productions, Science demonstrations, or actions within the school or wider community.
In 2026 we have completed a refresh of our reporting to whānau in line with Ministry of Education guidance. The report includes a significant change in how we measure achievement and progress. You can find more information on the Ministry's website.
Each student's report will be available on Hero at the end of term 2 and end of term 4 each year. If you would like support in accessing Hero, please see the school office. We can also print out a copy of your child's report at your request.
When a report is published, caregivers will be notified that a new report is ready to view. They can follow this notification to go directly to the report or access the reports at any time from their Hero app home screen.

For Reading, Writing and Maths, your child will have an overall judgement of their achievement against the new curriculum. Their achievement will be described using a progress marker (above).
Their effort is described for each curriculum area.
For each curriculum area teachers have made a comment about their progress towards the learning for their year level.
Teachers have made judgements against the different elements of the curriculum in Reading, Writing and Maths eg Geometry. For a mid year report, some elements may not have been taught yet. These elements will be taught in the second half of the year and reported at end of year.
A General Comment has been written by teachers. The comment reflects your child's growth and learning in relation to our school values of Pānga (Positive Relationships), Manaakitanga (Respect), Pono (Integrity), Manawaroa (Resilience) and Auahatanga (Innovation).
Your child's report also shows their attendance as a percentage so far this year.
