The Arts
At Redwoodtown School, we celebrate creativity and expression, offering students rich opportunities to explore visual arts, music, dance, and drama. We encourage tamariki to discover their talents, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
A highlight of our Arts journey is our bi-annual school production, where students come together to showcase their skills and bring stories to life on stage. These productions are a collaborative celebration of talent, teamwork, and creativity, providing unforgettable experiences for our learners and our wider school community.
Whether painting a masterpiece, performing in a play, or composing music, our Arts Program inspires our students to think imaginatively, communicate effectively, and express their unique voices.
Our School Songs

We have two school songs that connect us together and build our school culture. Both songs have been a koha from people in our school community.
Whaea Merehira Wills presented Ka mau te wehi to us within our kapa haka programme and now it is performed as part of our kapa haka programme for teachers and students and is performed for visiting guests.
The Redwoodtown School Song was gifted to us by Mrs Linda Holdaway. Mrs Holdaway has taught piano and singing at Redwoodtown and has a long association with our school. It is often performed at assemblies and is a special part of Redwoodtown School.
